Does adsense died?
I have recieved an email 2 days ago with the title “Adsense is dead”, since I am one of those million publishers using adsense and recieving adsense check a month, I didn’t think twice I immediately go to the download link of the said report and read it.
After reading it I come to my own conclusion that the report is half lie and half truth. It is true that if we go back from the previous years earnings from adsense is higher than this days. In the previous years I never get $0.01 earnings per click. The lowest if I am not wrong is $0.10 per click from those years. See the diffirence of the two figures that is really big right? That give an impression to most webmasters that adsense is dead already and it’s time to find replacement of adsense.
But on the other hand, you can still make good money from adsense but this time you need to create a quality site that attract both search engine robots and real people looking informations. If your site get high traffic you can still make your fortune from adsense and other PPC programs no doubt.
I can’t blame google to their move, because webmasters force them to do so. Why I said so? Because webmasters abuse adsense, there are lot of people build crap site just to trick adsense and search engine with no quality content. Google must do an action to combat this crappy sites created automatically by webmasters. This is a threat to their business if they don’t make an action sooner or later their customers that bringing them $4 billion dollar will left them. And their solution is the november 22, 2005 tweak to adword.
Their solution brings adsense income low. In my point of view their solution is not that good. If they want to combat those crappy sites why don’t they force every webmaster to submit their site for review before a publisher can add an ad code to their site. To avoid cheater to change the content after the review they can conduct random check to the sites applied by publishers and if found violating they will terminate the publisher account. For sure this will stop people creating crappy sites because they know if they do this their account will be banned.
