How To Find Top Paying Keywords For Adsense

This is another one of those articles where I need to put a disclaimer up at the top or people are going to start running off to creating web sites for people looking for lawyers to bail them out of the drunk tank somewhere in Austin Texas or sites promoting auto insurance quotes.

So here’s the disclaimer. Take it for what it’s worth to you. The rates you are about to see in this article are NOT the rates that you are going to get paid whenever somebody clicks on your Adsense ads for these niches. This is what the advertiser is paying and Google will take a good chunk of it. Okay, now that we have that out of the way, just how do we find the top paying keywords for Adsense?

There are actually three ways to do this. The first way is simply to go to the Google Adwords site and use their traffic estimator. You’ll of course have to have a list of keywords to start with, but by simply plugging them in, you’ll see what Google estimates as your average cost per click as an Adwords advertiser.

Of course this really only gives you some idea of what you’ll actually get paid, as like I said, Google is going to take a healthy chunk of this money. Plus, this is the going rate for search sites and not content sites, which are generally lower. So it’s not unusual that a keyword that costs $30 only brings the Adsense click a buck or two.

The next way to find the top paying keywords for Adsense is to go to the Google search engine itself and type in any keyword or keyword phrase that you’re interested in. After you do this, look to the right of the page at how many paid ads there are. If there are a lot of paid ads for that keyword or keyword phrase, that means there is a lot of competition for those keywords.

More competition means higher cost per clicks. Of course this is all relative to the niche you’re targeting. So if you want to get an exact dollar figure, you can go to the Google traffic estimator and plug that keyword in to see what the actual amount is.

The third way to find the top paying keywords for Adsense is to go back to the search engine and type in the phrase “how to find top paying keywords for Adsense.” You are quite likely to find a number of sites that have already done this research for you and have listed the top paying keywords.

The problem with these lists is that some of these sites don’t update regularly, so you don’t know how accurate these figures are. Therefore, you have to be careful with these lists. Always double check with Google.

There is no rocket science to doing this. If you’re really hung up on doing this, you can buy something like Keyword Elite and find all the high paying keywords you want. It may very well be worth your time, depending on how many sites you plan to put up.

Adsense revenue forums

If you’re not making much from your adsense, I suggest to join those revenue sharing forums to make some cents or even higher. If you’re an active member of a forum for sure in the long time you will be making good fortunes from them.

Right now I am making not less than $100 a month from digital point forum revenue sharing with more than 2000+ post already. I earn that post for almost 2 years now as a member of the said webmaster forum. But if you’re good for such topic you can even post more than 20 a day, I have seen member there that have post more than 2000 for just 6 months.

There are other forums where revenue sharing is available like http://forums.digitalpoint.com, http://www.namepros.com, http://www.webmaster-talk.com all those 3 sites are among the bigest webmaster forum on the net. For filipino webmasters you can also want to join Pinoy Warriors Forum a revenue sharing forum for all filipino webmasters.

If you’re planning to start a new revenue sharing forum, and don’t have budget to buy vb license, you can use phpBB as an alternative. You can find good revenue sharing mods outther for phpBB to offer for your members.

Use adsense competitive filter to increase your income

At first I don’t believe that this feature of adsense really help me to earn more from my adsense campaign. But because of curiousity I have tried it for 1 week and ghost my earnings increase into 40% and I found out that all those $0.01 earnings have been gone.

There are people who are using adwords to promote their MFAs (Made For Adsense) sites, to earn more money. They promote their site from google adword to make more money. Their site is nothing but adsense ads and some crap links.

This is the reason why, to many webmasters suffering very low income this days because of this MFA sites. To combat this problem, you need to check the ads displaying in your site and try to check each advertiser sites (Do not click your ads use google adsense tool). When you find out that the site targeted is no quality content but pages full of adsense then this is a site made for adsense and for sure this cause your earnings low. Add it in your adsense filter.

Here are some list I have filtered which are proven MFA site:

Earnings keep droping

I talk to almost 20 webmasters using adsense and all of them have same answer when I ask them how is their adsense earnings. For the last years I use google adsense earnings are great. But since the start of this year many of us noticed this slow income from adsense. Income drop almost 70% which really big.

People earning $0.01 from their precious ad space. How I wish google adsense back to the previous earnings.
